En décembre 2021, le Public Knowledge Project (PKP) a annoncé son nouveau partenaire de développement : Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). En renouvelant cette relation de collaboration entre les deux organismes qui date de 2007, SciELO se joint aux les autres partenaires de développement du PKP.
